Where scores come from
Every app on this site is scored the same way, from three inputs:
- Merchant feedback — we analyze thousands of public merchant reviews, looking for patterns (support quality, hidden costs, real-world reliability) rather than star averages alone.
- Pricing & product data — plans, limits, and price changes tracked over time. An app that quietly raises prices gets called out.
- Our own research — hands-on checks of setup flows, documentation, and feature claims where possible.
What money can and can't buy
Sponsored placements are clearly labeled slots — they never change an app's score or ranking position in our lists. Affiliate links earn us a commission when you try an app; the score was decided before any link was added, and plenty of low-scoring apps have affiliate programs we don't benefit from promoting.
Scores can go down
We re-check apps regularly. Price hikes, support decline, or feature removals lower scores — check the "last checked" date on every review.
Verified merchant reviews
User reviews marked ✓ Verified merchant passed email verification with a store email. All user reviews are moderated for spam before publishing, but we don't edit opinions — positive or negative.
